Can urinals be repaired if damaged?

Back to FAQ

Minor damage (scratches, scuffs):

Cosmetic defects can be fixed with light sanding using fine-grit sandpaper (grit 400–600). This does not affect functionality.

Cracks and splits:

Our urinals can be repaired using plastic welding (hot air + LLDPE rod, 250–300°C). Professional repair usually costs €20–50.

When repair is not recommended:

  • Cracks near mounting points or in high-stress areas
  • Large area damage (crack over 10 cm) — replacement is more economical
  • Multiple cracks indicating material fatigue

Prevention: Thanks to the material's flexibility, most impacts do not result in cracks. Main causes of damage:

  • Use of inappropriate cleaning agents
  • UV degradation after 7+ years of intense outdoor use
  • Mechanical damage from improper transport or storage

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects but not damage caused by improper use or inappropriate chemicals.

Our urinals require minimal maintenance. With proper use, component replacement is not needed for 5–7 years of continuous outdoor use.

Yes. Our urinals are designed for year-round use in European climates (from −30°C to +60°C) and can be stored outdoors in winter.

Winter storage recommendations:

  • Fully drain water: Remove water from traps and drains to prevent freeze damage
  • Storage convenience: Lightweight units are easy to move and store
  • Covering—optional: UV-resistant material, but covering protects from dirt
  • No heating required: Waterless design eliminates freeze damage risk

For rental operators: Ideal for seasonal business (festivals, construction) as off-season storage is simple and requires no chemicals or heated facilities.
