Payment terms for B2B orders are agreed individually, taking into account the volume and cooperation history. For first orders, prepayment is usually applied.

First order

An order is considered confirmed after written confirmation or invoice. Available payment methods are indicated when placing an order. Prices are quoted in euros, and payment is also made in euros.

Repeat orders and framework agreements

For repeat deliveries, payment terms are discussed individually and fixed in writing. In a framework purchase, they are included in the supply contract; the format is described in the framework agreements answer.

Documents and VAT

If delivery is to another EU country, not Estonia, and the company’s VAT number in that country is confirmed, reverse charge applies: the invoice is issued without VAT, and the obligation to pay the tax passes to the buyer. For delivery to the EU tax territory in other cases, prices include VAT at the delivery country’s rate. For delivery outside the EU, EU VAT is not charged, and import duties and taxes of the destination country are paid by the recipient. More about invoices is in the VAT invoice answer.
