Can I use the collected urine in my garden?

The Pi-Pi waterless urinal collects liquid separately in a canister, and what to do with the contents next is determined by the rules of your plot, garden association, and local requirements. Some gardeners use diluted urine as a fertilizer, but there are no uniform rules for all countries and plots, so first check what is allowed where you live.

Where to dispose of the canister contents

Where you pour out the contents depends on where you install the urinal. It can be:

• a communal receiver of the garden association or another place provided by the plot rules;
• a storage container or composting tank if you have them;
• sewerage, if connection to it is permitted on your plot.

Using in the garden: what to pay attention to

If you are considering using the contents in the garden, start with the rules of your association or municipality: they may vary from plot to plot and from country to country. Dilution ratios, timing, and plant lists depend on the source, so take them from official or professional gardening recommendations in your region. Work with gloves and wash your hands afterward.

Storage and odor

The contents of the canister are stored in a tightly closed container and not kept for long. Odor appears where the liquid stagnates, so regular emptying, rinsing the canister, and a hose without sags help.
