Can the Pi-Pi urinal be recycled at the end of its life?
Yes, the Pi-Pi urinal is fully recyclable. It's made from 100% of a single plastic (polyethylene) with no mixed materials — which makes it ideal for recycling.
Marking: LLDPE carries the recycling code RIC #4 and is accepted by most recycling centres.
How recycling works:
- collection and cleaning of the used urinal
- shredding into flakes
- melting and pelletising
- making new plastic products
High recovery rate: up to 95% of the material can be reclaimed. Because the Pi-Pi urinal is moulded in one piece (no glue, coatings or inserts), recycling is especially straightforward.
At the end of its long life you simply take the urinal to your local recycling centre to return it to the plastics loop.
