Can the Pi-Pi urinal be repaired if it’s damaged?
A crack in the body of a Pi-Pi urinal or sink can sometimes be welded, but first check the warranty: manufacturing defects are covered for 24 months from the date of delivery. Whether repair is possible depends on the size and location of the damage. Minor scratches do not affect the product’s performance.
If the Product is Under Warranty
The Pi-Pi factory warranty is 24 months from the date of delivery for material and molding manufacturing defects. It covers cracks not caused by mechanical impact, deformation within working conditions, and other manufacturing defects. Mechanical damage and vandalism consequences, improper installation, misuse, exposure to aggressive chemicals, and natural wear are not covered. Mandatory consumer rights under your country’s legislation apply additionally.
Send a photo of the damage and order number through the warranty claim form – we will respond within one business day. Scratches and Scuffs
The surface of the urinal and sink is smooth, and light scratches and scuffs from tools or carrying do not affect performance. Wash such areas with a soft sponge and mild detergent to prevent buildup in the scratches.
Cracks: Plastic Welding
The body is made of LLDPE polyethylene, and polyethylene is a thermoplastic, so cracks can, in principle, be welded. Whether it is suitable for your case will be decided by a plastic welding specialist: they will assess the length and location of the crack and the wall thickness. If the case is not under warranty and you decide to repair the product, entrust it to a specialist, and after repair, check the drain with water.
When Replacement is Better
Replacement is more reliable if the crack passes through the wall mounting area or outlet, if multiple areas are damaged, or if the weld seam after repair is questionable. The product is lightweight, and installation takes 5–7 minutes without a plumber and special tools, so replacement does not require serious work.
