Which cleaners can I use on the Pi-Pi urinal?
Regular care for the Pi-Pi waterless urinal or plastic sink requires only mild household detergent and water; concentrated chemicals and solvents are best avoided. The surface is smooth, so it wipes clean in seconds and doesn’t require special composition.
What is suitable for regular cleaning
- Mild universal or sanitary detergent, diluted according to the instructions on the package.
- Soft cloth, sponge, or brush without metal bristles.
- Room temperature or warm water, within the material’s operating range (up to +60 °C).
After using the detergent, rinse the bowl with water to leave no concentrate on the surface.
Scale and urine stone
Scale appears where liquid doesn’t drain immediately. It’s easier to prevent than to clean: wipe the bowl and mesh filter regularly. If scale has already appeared, use a mild acidic cleaner diluted according to the instructions (e.g., household descaler) and rinse immediately. Abrasive powders and hard brushes leave scratches where scale holds longer.
Chlorine and bleach
Chlorine-containing products are permissible only in diluted form, briefly, and with mandatory rinsing. Do not leave concentrated bleach on plastic.
Solvents, oil, and paint in the garage
In the garage and workshop, the sink gets dirty with oil, paint, and grease. Wash oil stains with warm soapy water. Do not use gasoline, solvents, or paint thinners for cleaning: these are aggressive substances, and exposure to aggressive chemicals is not covered by the warranty. If you’re choosing a model for the garage, check out, for example, the Pi-Pi corner sink.
What not to use
- Concentrated acids.
- Gasoline, kerosene, and paint solvents.
- Abrasive powders and metal brushes.
If you spill an aggressive product
Rinse it off immediately with plenty of water and wipe the surface. If cracks, stains, or deformation appear on the plastic afterward, send photos and a description of the situation. What the warranty does not cover is detailed in the answer about warranty exclusions; daily care procedures are in the answer about urinal maintenance.
