What outlet connection does the Pi-Pi urinal have?
Pi-Pi urinals and sinks have a stepped drainage outlet Ø24/32/40 mm: it is cut to the step that fits your hose or pipe. The outlet is the same for all models, so everything mentioned below applies to both waterless urinals and plastic sinks.
How to Choose a Step and Cut the Outlet
- Decide where the drainage will go: into a canister, dry toilet tank, or pipe.
- Select a hose or pipe and fit them to the outlet: the step should match the diameter.
- Cut the outlet at the chosen step.
- Attach the hose or pipe to the outlet.
Cutting is irreversible, so first fit, then cut. If the diameter of your hose or pipe does not match any step, an adapter will be needed.
Hose, Pipe, or Canister
The instructions for Standard and Standard Plus show three typical options:
- Ø40 mm pipe connected to the sewage system;
- Ø40 mm hose led into a canister (e.g., outside through a wall);
- smaller diameter hose led into a sump.
The drainage can be directed into a canister, compost reservoir, or sewage system. If you connect the drainage to the sewage system or direct it into the ground, the rules are set by your municipality or association, so check them first.
Slope and Hose Attachment
The liquid flows by gravity, so the hose should run downward without sags and sharp bends: liquid remains in a sag, and odor may appear from there. Place the container below the outlet, and secure the end of the hose so it does not slip out of the canister neck. Do not fill the canister to the brim and empty it in advance. After installation, pour some water into the bowl and make sure it drains into the container without dripping at the connections.
Connecting to a Separating Toilet Tank
If the separating toilet accepts the liquid fraction through a standard drainage connection, the outlet connects to its liquid tank with a hose. Before cutting the outlet, see which diameter your tank accepts and choose the step for it.
