What’s the difference between Standard and Standard Plus?
The Standard Plus has a top Ø70 mm port that connects to ventilation, while the Standard has a closed top. The drain outlet, material, and kit are the same, and the model with the port is slightly larger. The third model, Standard Corner, also has a Ø70 mm port but is corner-shaped.
Model comparison
| Model | Top | Drain | Dimensions (W×H×D), mm | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | closed | Ø24/32/40 mm | 285×410×235 | 1.4 kg |
| Standard Plus | Ø70 mm port | Ø24/32/40 mm | 310×500×255 | 1.5 kg |
| Standard Corner | Ø70 mm port, corner shape | Ø24/32/40 mm | 255×500×255 | about 1.4 kg |
All three models share the same material (LLDPE), frost resistance down to −40°C, and include a metal mesh filter. The mounting plate is included with the Standard and Standard Plus.
When the Standard is enough
The model with a closed top is the simplest option for a cottage or garden house where ventilation is not needed. The closed body doesn’t clog and is easy to wipe. The drain goes into a canister or your dry toilet.
When a Ø70 mm port is needed
The port is needed if the urinal is hung in an enclosed space: in a cottage, garden house, or motorhome. The port connects to the standard ventilation of a composting toilet or a ventilation duct, providing an outlet for odors. The Standard Plus model can optionally have water supplied to the port for occasional rinsing. More about where odors come from and how to deal with them is in the answer about odor.
If space is limited: corner model
The corner model fits into a corner and doesn’t take up space along the wall in a tight cottage, garden house, or motorhome. It has the same Ø70 mm port as the Standard Plus.
What the models have in common
- Installation takes 5–7 minutes on brick, concrete, wood, or frame walls, without a plumber and special tools.
- Stepped outlet Ø24/32/40 mm: the drain goes into a canister, composting reservoir, or the tank of your separating toilet.
- The urinal complements a dry, composting, or separating toilet, not replacing it. Compatibility with specific systems is discussed in the answer about compatibility.
Choosing in half a minute
- Open shed or airy summerhouse, no ventilation needed: Standard.
- Closed cabin where the air stays still, or your composting toilet already has a ventilation duct: Standard Plus.
- Tight corner, caravan or motorhome: Standard Corner.
