Does Pi-Pi work with my Trelino, BOXIO or Kildwick toilet?

Back to FAQ

Connection is possible if your system has a separate outlet or liquid container: the stepped outlet Ø24/32/40 mm goes into it via a hose, and the upper port Ø70 mm on Standard Plus and Standard Corner connects to ventilation. The Pi-Pi urinal is placed next to the toilet and does not replace it.

General compatibility rule

Compatibility depends on your system’s design, not just the brand. Before purchasing, check three things:

  1. whether the toilet has an outlet or separate container for the liquid fraction;
  2. the diameter of the outlet or hose you plan to use: the Pi-Pi outlet is stepped, 24, 32, and 40 mm;
  3. whether ventilation is needed and the diameter of your toilet’s ventilation channel: the port on Standard Plus and Standard Corner is Ø70 mm.

How to connect to a liquid container

  1. Hang the urinal on the wall: installation takes 5–7 minutes, fasteners are selected according to the base.
  2. Select the outlet step whose diameter fits your hose or pipe.
  3. Attach the hose and lead it into a canister, compost reservoir, or your toilet’s liquid container.
  4. Lay the hose without sags to prevent liquid stagnation.

The outlet also connects to a standard PVC pipe. More about steps and hoses – in the question what is the drainage outlet connection for the Pi-Pi urinal.

Ventilation connection

The Ø70 mm port is on Standard Plus and Standard Corner: it connects to the ventilation channel. Before purchasing, check the diameter of your toilet’s channel. On Standard the top is closed, ventilation is not needed for it.

Which systems are listed on the model pages

The urinal is placed next to dry and composting toilets Trelino, BOXIO, Kildwick, and Separett. Compatibility is indicated on the model pages for Separett, Biolan, and Green Toilet, as well as for other systems that accept liquid fraction through a standard drainage connection. Brand names are trademarks of their owners; Pi-Pi is a separate product.

If you have doubts

Check the sizes and type of connection on the model page. If your system is not listed, clarify if the outlet will fit your toilet. Business clients can check the outlet and sizes in hand before purchase: a sample is ordered on the samples page. Why a urinal is needed next to such a toilet is covered in the question why a urinal if there is a composting or separating toilet.

The waterless urinal is designed for standing use, so it is used by men and boys. The benefit is shared: the liquid goes into a separate container, and the toilet used by the whole family fills up more slowly.

Yes: the Pi-Pi plastic sink requires neither plumbing nor sewage. It hangs on the wall, you supply water from your container, and the drain flows passively into a bucket or canister. The sink has no built-in tank, pump, or tap.

Yes: the plastic sink does not crack in frost down to −40 °C, so an unheated garage or allotment shed is not a problem. The main thing is to drain water from the bowl, outlet, hose, and containers before the cold: water freezes, not plastic.
